About Us

Hi!

I’m Amanda, the owner and founder of Firefly Jewels.

I started Firefly in 2021 to keep myself busy during the summer. Who knew it would become such an integral part of who I am today?

When I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia as a child, making jewelry and beading bracelets in the hospital became one of the few things that gave me comfort and a sense of control, especially during such an unpredictable period. Crafting carried me through treatment, and I’m grateful to now be over 10 years cancer-free (YAY!).

Four years later, Firefly Jewels is both my creative home and a way to give back. I donate jewelry-making kits to pediatric cancer patients across the United States, hoping to spark the same joy and sense of purpose that crafting gave me.
